[edit] Hellsing: The Dawn
Main article: Hellsing: The Dawn Hellsing: The Dawn is an ongoing prequel to Kouta Hirano's manga series Hellsing.
The Dawn features a fourteen year-old Walter C. Dornez and Alucard, there shown as a girl in her teens also known as 'Girlycard' [based on fans], attacking Millennium's base of operations in Warsaw, Poland, during September of 1944, in the midst of the Warsaw Uprising.
[edit] Hellsing Organization
Main article: Hellsing Organization More formally known as the Royal Order of Protestant Knights, the Hellsing Organization is a fictional organization from the manga series Hellsing.
The name "Hellsing" comes from the character of a similar name in Bram Stoker's Dracula, Abraham van Helsing. The leader of Hellsing organization, Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing (Integra), is the great-granddaughter of the grizzled professor.
In the Hellsing universe, the organization is an integral part of the true power-structure of Great Britain, which is in fact still ruled by a hidden aristocracy and the monarchy. The organization is tasked with defending the country's shores from any and all supernatural threats. Controversy is often raised, especially in the manga, over the highly unconventional methods Hellsing chooses to do this, namely the use of anti-Christian powers and creatures. In the TV series, the agency resembles a counter-terrorist paramilitary strike force in uniform, methods and gear. However in the manga and OVA the soldiers are rarely seen, as the manga only focuses on the main characters.
[edit] Section XIII, Iscariot Organization
Main article: Iscariot Organization Section XIII, Iscariot Organization is a top-secret organization within the Roman Catholic Church, and is run by Father (later Archbishop) Enrico Maxwell. Although similar in function and mission to the Hellsing Organization, Iscariot's motivations are closer to Catholic dogma - almost absolutist, and their main targets run from supernatural threats to mortals it considers as "heretics", which usually includes all non-Catholics. Among the agents that Iscariot has at is disposal are Father Alexander Anderson, Heinkel Wolfe and her partner Yumiko Takagi, who has dual personalities. Yumiko is the more docile one, but when "woken up", Yumie surfaces. She's brash, impatient, and a deadly assassin, skilled with the katana. Father Anderson, whose origins are a mystery, uses blessed bayonets as his principle weapons, and is also a regenerator, meaning he can heal any would almost instantaneously.
[edit] Millennium
Main article: Millennium Millennium is the principle antagonist organization in the OVA version of Hellsing. Created under Order 666 by Adolph Hitler during World War II, the organization's original purpose was to create artificial vampires to help Nazi Germany win against the United Nations and assure the Third Reich's existance. However, their plans were thwarted by Alucard (who was in the form of a young woman, commonly refered to by the fanbase as "Girlycard") and a very young Walter C. Dolnez. However, the leader of Millenium, known as the Major, and the Doctor had managed to escape Europe before the end of the war. Now over fifty years later, Millennium is back and now seeks to plunge the world into a never-ending war!
