Shana/Shakugan no Shana

Shukagan no shana is all about a boy named Sakai Yuuji who discovers that he is not really human. He met a girl called Flame Haze who saves him from the Rinnes (slaves to Guze no Tomogaras), the Flame Haze has no name, so Sakai gives her a name 'Shana' which was after her sword, the 'Nietono no Shana'. She has black hair but it burns a fiery red when shes in battle
