[edit] Update List of Anime
This animewiki is dead. You guys haven't edit it since February 2007. I know the best anime list site containing every anime aired since 1960 to the current date. The only problem is that this list is freaking huge and its sorted chronologically not alphabetically. It would take weeks to post them on the animewiki and it's a pain in the ass. Here's the link. [[1]] It would be nice if the animewiki list is expanded.--Animeweng 08:52, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- WTH are you talking about? If the wiki here was not edited within a month the rc wouldn't even have anything on it, and as you can see at Special:Recentchanges it is quite active, a little low on content, but it's being slowly expanded. If you are talking about the wiki here, the name is Animepedia, not to be confused with anime-wiki.org which along with about any other wiki about anime has absolutely nothing to do with us. The only wiki which have any connection with us are listed at the information page about Wikia ACG.
- Now, as for the list. The List of Anime here is not supposed to be complete. It's actually a temporary thing. The point of the wiki is not to have a list with the titles of every anime series, it's to document every series. Copying down a big and constantly updating list serves little point when someone can go and find that list elsewhere with more detail. We're here to document series, so a list of anime here serves more purpose if that list shows the series that we actually do have documentation on. I'd actually like to avoid having the manually updated list become extremely large while we don't have many series being documented. I'm actually hoping to delete those lists when we have enough series documented, and replace those lists with ones which are automatically generated by our articles. That way, creating a new series article will actually automatically add that series to the list and let people track it down. However, the larger that list gets, the longer its going to be before the wiki is large enough for me to replace the manual list with an automatic one.
- As for that list of anime. It's a good one, while copying down the entire list wouldn't be a very good idea, and could also likely serve for a good resource. Feel free to create a new page on the wiki, say Resources, or Animepedia:Resources, or even a forum topic, and list that page there as a editors or readers resource for a full list of anime. After we add a few of the other resources like ANN, AniDB, and the other big sites in with it, I might even place a link to it in the sidebar. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Feb 16, 2008 @ 04:58 (UTC)
Wow, this wiki is a mess. I want to help, but I really don't know where to start... I suppose I'll look things over when I get a little (read: "a ton of") free time to spare... o.O KenobiwanX 09:02, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- Copying articles over from Wikipedia always helps. And formatting them and other articles which have not been formatted yet always works to. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) May 1, 2008 @ 19:49 (UTC)
[edit] Help?
Well... apparently this place is a little low on content? xD
I'm working on a Cowboy Bebop page, and maybe one for Ghost In The Shell too. I went insane when I realised there wasn't pages for either of them... *fanboy*
I'll post the pages up when I get the info boxes to work <<;;
