Ragaghast, I know you're mostly just making images for the WGEP wiki, but I'm needing graphics for another project I'm on. I attempted to do them on my own and utterly failed. With what you did with the Dragon Ball and Naruto Symbols you're the only one I know of who could possibly do something like this.
For a summary of what it's for:
- Me and JSharp (JaeSharp on IRC) share some server space, and basically I've got a project. The project is Wiki-Tools.com. I was making a skin for the sites on that project which is just going to be for the Wiki-Tools project. (Jae has his own site and MetaFur, plus we will probably be taking Jack_Phoenix's wiki into the project to; Not sure, but we're also willing to host countervandalism.org if they still need a move). Basically other than Wiki-Tools, which is just a project, the name of the group surrounding it was picked as Despair of the Flame. Basically a Project Factory/Private Project Hosting group. But I'm also working on SSO (Single-Sign On) which will apply for the Global Sites, the Wiki-Tools sites, and maybe some of the other projects. And so I'm definitely going to need to start working on the group site.
- I have a good idea for the look of the site, unfortunately I'm so bad with graphics that I can't do them. And I was wondering if you felt like helping make these graphics for the site. (Either just as an outsider... Or you could actually be part of the Group Staff... Heck, there's room for hosting more sites... I'll half to setup whatever you want for now... But when VM's are up you could have SSH access to whatever you want to work on)
Here's an explanation of what the look I'm trying to get for the site:
- This is a .svg image I did for just the basic layout of what is going where: http://dantman.wiki-tools.com/despair.svg
- I'll tell you what the purpose of the different areas are:
- On the left, you see a part dropping down, That non curved portion is a sidebar which will have the various links.
- In the upper right there is a box area, that is where a logo is going to go.
- The top middle is going to have the group name centered.
- Light grey footer text will be at the bottom. (I may extend that footer section more to the left)
- I'd like to be able to have it broken up. Basically certain parts of the layout should be able to streach:
- The non curved part on the left should be able to tile vertically so the sidebar can be extended (We'll probably need to come up with a good fixed width)
- The top middle part should be able to freely tile horizontally.
- And the bottom middle (even though it is more to the left) should be able to tile horizontally.
- As for the logo area, enough to fit a 155x155px logo like in the wiki is fine.
- I do know of a few fixed widths to go by:
- The top middle part will be 50px high, and the footer middle probably will be the same to.
- The right bar in the lower right sticking up the right side of the page from the footer is just there for looks... Just 50px wide is fine, and it doesn't need to tile, it can just be like a curve sticking up from there.
- From what someone tells me, It's an oil drop style that I'm wanting. As for the coloring, the site background is black, the and text is a violet/purple. As for the images, I'm really hoping for a glossy look on it. Basically the outer parts curve inwards towards the inner parts, like a cylinder falling into the screen. Basically the coloring is black with a white gloss from a light in the middle-lower-left portion.

- I'm not quite sure I understand what you strive for and what are you asking me to help with... I mean, if you want a scalable bar, why don't you just take a slice of it (like 1px wide png or smth) and let the browser to the work for you by tags/css? --Radaghast 10:19, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately I don't have an example of what kind of look I'm wanting. But for layout purposes I have http://despair.wiki-tools.com .
- It's not a simple thing that CSS can do that I'm wanting. CSS Can't do the kind of reflection or gloss that would be worked into an image. CSS also can't do nice gradients in combination with full curves (not simple border curves).

Forget the skin images, Wiki-Tools is doing something different.
Radaghast, you want to do some small free-use SVG's for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki? The Attribute and Star images are poor quality and would easily crumble under a poor fair-use claim. I'm sure you could create a set of SVG's better than these:
