Vampire Hunter D/Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

Vampire Hunter D is about a Dunpeal hunter (Half Human, Half vampire) named D who hunts vampires for a living. In Vampire Hunter D: BloodLust, A young woman named Charlotte is kidnapped by a vampire called Mier Link. D along with the Marcus brothers are hired by Charlotte's father to bring back Charlotte. They are all unaware that Charlotte was in fact, not kidnapped but left with Mier because she has fallen in love with him. Mier and Charlotte receive and invitation from Carmilla, the "bloody countess" to go to her castle, so that they can fly to the city of the stars where they can finally be together. When they arrive at the castle (after many attempts to take charlotte back by the Marcus brothers and D) Carmilla attempts to kill Mier using an illusion. She then sucks charlottes blood so that she may be re-born, as D's father the vampire king killed her. D slays Carmilla, and fights with Mier for Charlotte. He then takes her ring and leaves, while Mier and Charlotte fly to the city of the stars.
